the sports guy has done it again

this month's article is almost as good as the life of reilly article on allen iverson back in 01.

"How did this become the blueprint for starting an NBA game? I have no idea. But any franchise lacking a good-enough "LEMME HEAR IT!!!!!!!!" guy needs to decide something: Should it finish the video with a barrage of dunks, or with its by-default best player screaming as the closer even though he's not really a star? Deep down, the team knows this decision symbolizes everything. You can't win without a legitimate "LEMME HEAR IT!!!!!!!!" guy; pointing this out in the opening video is almost counterproductive. That's what made it so interesting when, on Opening Night against the Celtics last October, the Cavaliers embraced their LeBron-less plight. Their video ended with Mo Williams screaming incoherently and turning into a fireball. The subtext?

This is our best player. It's Mo Williams. We just wanted to prepare you guys now.1"

someone find me a smell-alike fast!

home design is my obsession...

well, that and everything else on this blog.  lately i've been up late with my mind running over various designs for my mother's much needed living room makeover.  so far, this is what i've come up with.
i think she needs a mix of cool and warms tones in her house... for balance and for her sanity.

current scent

i am really loving the suede blanc voluspa scent right now... it's amazing.  love their candles, best brand i've tried so far.  long lasting and a really permeating perfume.

all less than $45! how can you say no?

srsly.

most days i thank the lord that i don't live in scottsdale anymore...

but somedays party inspiration strikes and all i want to go is go to pop's soda shop.
i spied this little picture of a root beer sampling party over at oh happy day and though, why not kick this up a notch with a little sampling of ice creams/gelatos/custards and do a root beer float tasting party!

i guess world market will have to do, since i'm pretty impatient when it comes to shipping soda.

one day...

i will have a room large enough to properly display my wedding gown

i have never seen a more beautiful display of a dress.  i didn't think that my dress was the most perfect dress i could find, but when i see any of my wedding photographs i really appreciate the intricacies of all of the pleating and button work.  i think that it would be wonderful to display a gown like this in a girls play room or an office.  *sigh* one day.

(also, i have no idea where i found this picture, but i think the woman may be one of the real housewives of bh)

***update... i was right, this is adrienne maloof and her wedding dress***
